Sometimes, we must fail at what we do in order to appreciate what we are trying to do. Of course, this is not the case in all adventures in life. However, I do believe that in the raw food journey this is vital. We sometimes forget how our body feels on the SAD (Standard American Diet). It takes a day like today to REALLY appreciate how the raw diet makes me feel. I didn't eat well at all today and boy am I feeling it now. I am miserable, bloated, and in pain! But you know, I am in a different frame of mind then what I have been in the past. This would normally discourage me, but instead it inspires me. I love living the raw food life style and I am grateful for the knowledge I have. Today I ordered some "super" foods. I ordered Goji Berries, Raw Cacao, and Raw Maca. I will keep you informed on these.

School Lunches
Ok, to school lunches! I pack a main dish (usually cooked food), and a raw fruit and some raw veggies. I always remind my kids to eat their fruit first. As for the cooked main dishes; I pack chick pea salad sandwiches, tofu "egg" salad sandwiches, whole wheat gulash, taco soup, and home made veggie soup to name most of them. Right now the kids are picking apples and pears off the trees in the back. Other wise, they eat bananas, grapes, plums, oranges, peaches, nectarines, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, and applesauce (not raw). I only send one type of fruit at a time (always eat your fruit first). I also send them with some raw veggies; carrots (most of the time), celery, califlower, cucumber and more. With the green smoothie breakfast, healthy lunches, and balanced dinners, my kids are pretty happy and healthy! Although, I can't stop what they choose to eat on their own. However, they have been well educated at home so when they make choices, they are educated choices.

Warts Healed!!
Here I go breaking the promise of posting more. My little 8 yo daughter has suffered from big, painful warts for a long time now. We took her to the Dr. two times to get them burned off with liquid nitrogen. Both times her warts came back with a vengeance! They came back bigger, harder, and more! She even started to grow them on her face! We tried duct tape (this usually does work), and over the counter medicine as well. Nothing worked! I put her on a 70% or more raw food diet. I took out almost all sugar and refined foods (expect ww bread on occasion). For breakfast she would eat a green smoothie, for lunch 50% raw, and about 25% raw dinner. Every single wart she had is gone! It only took about 2 weeks. What a blessing! I am so grateful to my Father in Heaven for the abundant knowledge he has given me! I pray for more knowledge, and for more people to help! I will blog tomorrow about the school lunches; we've been very successful keeping my kids happy and healthy.
