Ok, to school lunches! I pack a main dish (usually cooked food), and a raw fruit and some raw veggies. I always remind my kids to eat their fruit first. As for the cooked main dishes; I pack chick pea salad sandwiches, tofu "egg" salad sandwiches, whole wheat gulash, taco soup, and home made veggie soup to name most of them. Right now the kids are picking apples and pears off the trees in the back. Other wise, they eat bananas, grapes, plums, oranges, peaches, nectarines, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, and applesauce (not raw). I only send one type of fruit at a time (always eat your fruit first). I also send them with some raw veggies; carrots (most of the time), celery, califlower, cucumber and more. With the green smoothie breakfast, healthy lunches, and balanced dinners, my kids are pretty happy and healthy! Although, I can't stop what they choose to eat on their own. However, they have been well educated at home so when they make choices, they are educated choices.
Have a happy, healthy DAY!!
